OUR STORY
Rivers Edge Church was in some ways birthed in a small hut on a miserably hot July night in Cuba in 2019. After a failed attempt to create a musical event focused on outreach, a local group of believers began to sing in Spanish with no instruments in the house church we were visiting. In twenty minutes there were over a hundred individuals crammed into every available space, worshiping, praising, and crying out to Jesus. This experience planted a seed in the heart of Ross and Erin Grall, a desire to see the Holy Spirit move and stir people in America the same way it moved and stirred those across the globe. After much prayer, fasting, and discussion, Ross and Erin committed to planting a church with their sending church, Living Water Baptist Church.
Through enormous obstacles, including a pandemic, Rivers Edge Church was birthed, displaying God's glory with every step. Over the span of two years, a launch team was gathered, a location has been provided, and a community has been engaged. Throughout this process, the primary goal has always been to pursue our primary calling as followers of Christ...to Go and Make disciples. We pray that you will join us in our efforts to follow Christ.

OUR COMMUNITY
Rivers Edge Church believes that our community is our mission field. For us, our community is the Longs/Loris area. Our community is one of the fastest growing places in the United States. 70+ people move here every day. When they arrive, they often find themselves void of relationships with friends, family, and neighbors. They are foreigners in a strange land.
Our mission as followers of Christ is to welcome them into our lives, building relationships with those God has placed in our neighborhoods, in our places of work, and in our sphere of influence. Our focus is not just to build a community that gathers together, but it is also to be a community that serves together. Our relationship with Daisy Elementary School gives us access of unparalleled opportunity to serve families who live in our area. We have been given a unique circumstance to serve the teachers, staff, and the families that attend DES. These are the same families that are located throughout the Longs and Loris area.
